Novgorod region broke berry records, collecting more than 40 tons of sweet products

In the Novgorod region, the collection of berry crops continues even in October. To date, more than 40 tons of products have been collected. The indicator is 11% higher than the final volumes of last year, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture for the Novgorod region reported.

According to the Minister of Agriculture of the region Vladimir Tatarenko, such indicators are possible due to the fact that varieties well adapted to the local climate are grown in the region. Raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, honeysuckle ripen in the fields and greenhouses - all that is familiar to the middle lane and in demand among buyers.

The leaders in terms of volumes are traditionally the farms of Novgorod, Lyubytinsky, Okulovsky and Borovichi districts. There are not only large areas, but also spent cultivation technologies. So even in the middle of autumn, the region continues to please with a "sweet" harvest.
