In Veliky Novgorod, the court will consider the case of theft of a million from a pensioner. Details were reported by the joint press service of the courts of the Novgorod region.

According to the investigation, the woman called the “policeman” and persuaded to withdraw money from the account allegedly to check the bills. Four days later, the defendant came to the pensioner. He called the "code word" that the woman believed, and took 1 million rubles. He gave the money to his accomplices and left 2.5 percent as a reward.

The investigation qualified the actions as fraud committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons on a large scale (part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Now the court will have to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
