Novgorod Regional Federation of Trade Unions celebrates 35th anniversary

In Veliky Novgorod on October 9, a solemn event was held in honor of the 35th anniversary of the Novgorod Regional Federation of Trade Unions, the press service of the government of the Novgorod region reported.

The Chairman of the NFP Sergey Busurin in his welcoming speech expressed gratitude to the veterans of the trade union movement, its activists and all those who defend the rights of workers. He also noted that this year marks ten years since the day the regional Trade Union Day was approved in the Novgorod region.

“This is evidence of the recognition of the role of trade unions in protecting the social and labor rights and interests of workers, in the development of social partnership,” said Sergey Busurin.

Minister of Labor, Family and Social Policy Svetlana Semenova congratulated the staff of the NFP and presented its chairman with gratitude. The Minister noted that this year, more than 1,200 Novgorod workers received assistance and answers to their questions thanks to the participation of the NOFP in the activities of the gubernatorial project “Help next”.
