Novgorod farmers exceeded the plan for grain for the second year in a row

Farmers of the Novgorod region are confidently keeping pace: the plan for harvesting grain has already been exceeded and is 105%, as in 2025. This was discussed at a meeting of the operational headquarters in the regional Ministry of agriculture. The meeting was held by Deputy Governor Oleg Shakhov, together with officials, representatives of municipalities and farmers themselves participated in the discussion.

Now potatoes and vegetables are actively harvested in the region. Potatoes are harvested from 48% of the area - this is already 63,000 tons. Vegetables, 38,000 tons.

To minimize crop losses due to bad weather, harvesting is carried out by "maps" - that is, not throughout the field at once, but in plots: first of all, they go to the hills where the ground dries faster.
