Preventive meetings are continuing in kindergartens of the Novgorod region, aimed at the formation of safe behavior skills in children on the road. As part of the action “Pedestrian crossing!”, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Borovichi and Krestetsky municipal districts conducted classes with children of kindergartens, the press service of the traffic police in the region reported.
In Borovichi, the police organized an interactive lesson. Particular attention was paid to the designations of road signs and the work of traffic lights. The children were thoroughly analyzed the algorithm of actions when crossing the roadway: "Wait - look - listen - think - go." They also explained how to interact with drivers of vehicles and what to pay attention to in a traffic situation.
In the village of Sacreds, training was held in a creative form. Pupils independently depicted an improvised road on the Watman – they applied road markings, marked vehicles, and also disassembled typical “road traps” that can lie in wait for a pedestrian: crossing from behind a standing car, entering the roadway between parked cars, inattention near stops.
