Murmansk Airport’s new director general elected a year after appointment of former head
Sergey Aynetdinov was appointed General Director of Murmansk Airport. This was reported by the press service of the airport.

Sergey Aynetdinov was appointed General Director of Murmansk Airport. This was reported by the press service of the airport. The last time the manager changed was less than a year ago.
He has been working in civil aviation for over 20 years. He started with line positions in production services and gained experience at the airports of Yekaterinburg, Sochi, Krasnodar and Volgograd.
Since 2024, he managed Nalchik Airport. He has two higher educations, one of them at the Moscow Aviation Institute.
Interestingly, the appointment of the new head coincided with the next stage of the reconstruction of Murmansk airport. The previous contract for 4.1 billion rubles was concluded in 2022, but by the end of 2024, the readiness of the facility did not exceed five percent. In February 2025, the contract with the contractor terminated. In October 2026, the Perm company was chosen to continue the work, which should complete the work by the end of 2028.
We also add that Sergey Ainetdinov’s predecessor, Elena Bezborodova, headed the airport on November 1, 2025. Now, almost a year later, a new CEO has been appointed. Under Bezborodova, in particular, a new airport terminal was opened, and the old one was closed for reconstruction.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” said that in the Kola Arctic, a Perm company was chosen to repair Murmansk airport.
