New Year holidays 2026-2027 again postponed: how now we will rest – the exact schedule
Yay, 11 days in a row! The government has approved a schedule of New Year holidays and holidays for 2027.

Great news for everyone who works on a standard five-day schedule: the production calendar for 2027 has been officially approved. Officials made a classic and very pleasant personnel maneuver to make our vacation as long and continuous as possible.
How does it work? Saturdays, which according to the calendar fell on January 2 and 3, 2027, decided to postpone. As a result, January 3 “moved” to December 31, 2026, and January 2 – to November 5, 2027.
Bottom line: Grand New Year holidays will start on December 31, 2026 and will last until January 10, 2027 inclusive. You will have to go to work only on Monday, January 11.
But it's not the only gift. Fans of long weekends in 2027 are waiting for a few more pleasant bonuses:
• February 21-23: Defender of the Fatherland Day (Saturday 20th is postponed to Monday);
6-8 March: International Women's Day;
May 1-3: Spring and Labor Festival;
• May 8-10: Victory Day;
• June 12-14: Day of Russia;
• November 4-7: National Unity Day (full 4 days of rest!).
A separate pleasant surprise is prepared for the very end of next year: December 31, 2027, also officially made a day off.
In the dry balance, the balance of the year looks very optimistic: 247 working days against 118 days of rest and holidays. It's time to open the calendar, book tickets and plan family travel before prices skyrocket!
