For the first six months of 2026, notaries of the Novosibirsk region certified more than 4 thousand wills
A will allows a person to determine in advance the fate of his property after death. In the document, you can specify specific heirs, change the size of their shares or exclude from the list of inheritors by law those whom the testator does not want to see as recipients of the property.
At the same time, it is allowed to dispose of not only property that is already there at the time of writing the document. The will can include property that a person will acquire in the future. It is also allowed to transfer to the heirs the entire state or only part of it, and if necessary, to issue several wills.
You can also change the decision: a previously drawn will is allowed to cancel or replace a new one. For example, in 2025, notaries of the Novosibirsk region certified 8264 such documents, and 384 people issued orders to cancel them.
Experts also mentioned marriage contracts. Residents of the region conclude such agreements, but their terms cannot contradict the requirements of the law and regulate any issues at the request of the spouses.
