Novosibirsk region was in the leaders in sales of drugs from SARS

According to the labeling system “Honest sign”, published by the publication SHOT, in the top 10 in the country also got Moscow, Ryazan, Magadan, Belgorod and Voronezh regions, Kamchatka Krai. Analysts made a rating based on real pharmacy sales for the first half of September, adjusting the data taking into account the density and population in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Statistics show that in just two weeks of September, residents of the Novosibirsk region bought about 529,000 packages of cold medicines in pharmacies. With this result, the region became the absolute leader in terms of incidence rates in Siberia. Neighbouring large subjects so far show more restrained dynamics: for example, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the same period, 449 thousand packages were sold, and pharmacies of the Irkutsk region reported on the sale of 404 thousand packs.

In general, the wave of colds hit the northern territories hardest, where autumn comes much earlier. So, in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, an anomalous surge was recorded in August, when sales of antiviral drugs soared immediately by 225%.

In the whole of Russia, the cold season has already cost citizens a round sum - since the beginning of September, Russians have spent more than one billion rubles in pharmacies to combat the first symptoms of SARS and influenza.
