A new highway to the Minsk residential complex “Northern Coast” is planned to open before the end of the year

In Minsk, the construction of a new highway from Karastoyanova Street in the direction of the Northern Beach residential complex continues. To open a new transport corridor, which will connect the residential complex with the center of the capital, intend this year. This was reported by sb.by in GPO Minskstroy.

It is noted that the facility involved more than 60 specialists and workers, about 50 units of equipment, including 20 dump trucks. Karastoyanova street is expanded and extended, connecting with Langbarda street.

- It will be a six-lane highway with a length of more than 3 kilometers to the Moscow Ring Road, the organization said. The first section with a length of 1.23 kilometers from the North Coast was commissioned by the trust in 2024. Now a 980-meter section is being built - 49 pickets of 20 meters each.

On most of the new track, the lower layers of asphalt pavement have already been laid. In parallel, lighting masts are installed, sidewalks with a tactile strip and a zone for pedestrians and cyclists are formed. There will be five new stops, a separation road fence, traffic lights, in the spring - green spaces and lawns.

Now the main forces are concentrated in the area of the former control station "Karastoyanova". Here, engineering networks are shifted, a turning ring of public transport is equipped, a road side is installed and a pie of the carriageway is formed. At the same time, the SU-73 is reconstructing a 200-meter section of Karastoyanova Street from Nekrasov towards Orlovskaya.

The new transport corridor will create a direct through route from the Second Ring to the LCD and exit to the Moscow Ring Road. In the future, along the new highway, the territory was laid for the development of high-speed public transport in the "North Coast" - a tram or an electric bus.
