New production for almost 10 billion rubles is being prepared in the Ulyanovsk region

In the coming years, the industrial map of the Ulyanovsk region may be replenished with enterprises of several directions at once. The region announced projects for the production of medicines, automotive components and electrical engineering, as well as the development of seed production. Total investments in four new projects amount to about 9.9 billion rubles.

The most capital-intensive project is related to pharmaceuticals. Escom intends to form a whole production cluster in the region, which will combine the development of medicines, their production and subsequent implementation. 5.6 billion rubles are provided for the creation of sites.

After the start of the enterprises, about 400 people are expected to be employed here. The declared average salary is about 70 thousand rubles. When reaching the planned capacity, annual revenue may exceed 11 billion rubles, and aggregate tax payments for two decades are estimated at more than 13 billion rubles.

Another new production is related to the automotive industry. In the Zavolzhye industrial park, they are going to launch the production of pyropatrons, which are used in airbag systems. The enterprise will build a building with an area of 1.3 thousand square meters, the volume of investments will be about 600 million rubles.

Serial production is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2027. The main market will be Russia, negotiations with domestic automakers are already underway. It is planned to recruit employees from the end of 2026, while the production wants to focus on Russian raw materials and components.

A major project is being prepared for the Terengul district. On an area of 25 thousand hectares, it is planned to develop breeding and seed production of grain and leguminous crops. It is planned to invest 1.68 billion rubles in the creation of the complex, the implementation is designed for 2027-2032. One of the directions will be the production of elite seeds for farms of the Volga region.

Almost 2 billion rubles are provided for another industrial project - high-tech production of electrical products. The new site of Kontaktor JSC should provide up to 300 jobs. It is planned to place it in the Volga region on the territory of the future special economic zone of industrial production type.

At the same time, enterprises already operating in the region are expanding. Ulyanovsk tire plant Gislaved, which produces passenger tires under the brands Gislaved and Cordiant, for the summer season added two new lines. The winter line of the company includes five models.

The development and production of aluminum packaging continues. The Arnest Packaging Solutions site, acquired at the end of 2022 and subsequently launched, invested more than 22 billion rubles.
