Springs on Plis in Tolochinsky district declared a hydrological monument of nature

In the Tolochinsky district, a new natural monument of local importance was declared. The corresponding decision of the Tolochinsky District Executive Committee dated September 11, 2026 No. 545 was published on October 6 on the National Legal Internet Portal.

In accordance with the document, the hydrological natural object “Springs on Plis” was declared a hydrological natural monument of local importance “Springs on Plis”.
By the same decision, botanical natural monuments of local importance "Racevo Park" and "Yuzefpolye" were transformed due to changes in borders, area, list of land users, protection and use regime.
The hydrological monument of nature of local importance "Springs on Plis" is located 0.2 km to the east, north-east of the village of Molyavka, south of the road R-19 Tolochin - Krupki, on the right bank of the Plisa River, within the 85th quarter of the Slavnovsky Forestry of Tolochinsky Forestry. It is a complex of underground water outlets. In the lower part of the side of the Plisa valley there are many small outlets of groundwater - helocrenes. They form different in size (in diameter from 2 to 15 meters) hot spots - henpolis. In the sole of the hill there are small concentrated exits of groundwater - reokrens. The whole complex forms a spring stream more than 70 meters long, which is the right tributary of the Plisa River. The total volume of groundwater intake on the daily surface reaches 2.5-3 l / s. The spring water belongs to the hydrocarbonate class of the calcium group. At individual outlets, ironed mats are formed.
Springs on Plis belong to the largest springs of the southeastern part of the Vitebsk region. The area of the natural monument is 2.62 hectares.
