NTV, Soyuzmultfilm and the Russian system of international payments A7 are preparing a New Year's project "Well, New Year, wait!" In it, Russian pop artists will perform together with the heroes of Soviet cartoons and congratulate the audience on the upcoming 2027.
We are connected with Soyuzmultfilm not by one project, but by a consistent organic partnership. We have worked together with the legacy of the Flying Ship, now the full-length film “Well, wait!” is in production, and now together with A7 we are happy to make another big joint project, said Timur Weinstein, NTV’s general producer.
And he added that in the year of the 90th anniversary of the studio, the project will allow you to revisit the familiar several generations of cartoons and their music. The creators plan to combine classical songs with modern arrangements and performances of famous artists, preserving the atmosphere of the originals.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm Juliana Slashcheva also noted that in the year of the 90th anniversary of the studio, its heroes still unite viewers of different generations. According to her, the joint project is conceived as a family New Year's Eve with favorite songs and the atmosphere of a child's miracle.
“It is worth hearing, ‘There was no winter...’ – and immediately I want to continue: ‘in cities and villages.’” That’s the power of our favorite cartoons: no matter how many years go by, they stay with us. And it is especially great when your children pick up familiar words from childhood and continue the song, said Ilan Shor, CEO of the company and stressed that they are happy to support this project.
On New Year’s Eve, viewers will see familiar heroes of Soviet cartoons, and Russian pop artists will perform songs from “Bremen Musicians”, “Flying Ship”, “Prostokvashino”, “Well, wait!”, “Umki”, “Cinderella” and cartoons about Crocodile Gene and Cheburashka. The project will feature new versions of famous musical compositions.
