Retail trade turnover in the Stavropol Territory in the first half of 2026 amounted to 542.2 billion rubles

The turnover of retail trade in the Stavropol Territory in the first half of 2026 amounted to 542.2 billion rubles. Last year, the figure exceeded 1 trillion rubles - in comparable prices it is 9.4% higher than the level of the previous period. The growth is associated with the preservation of consumer activity of the population.
By the end of 2026, the region forecasts an increase in retail trade turnover by 4.5% compared to last year. The expected volume is over 1.1 trillion rubles. These data will be included in the Forecast of socio-economic development of the region. The industry is among the dynamically developing.
By 2029, the volume of retail trade turnover is planned to increase to more than 1.3 trillion rubles. Growth should range from 2.2% in 2027 to 3% in 2029. This is expected to be achieved by expanding local food production, advancing the development of the non-food segment and developing trade infrastructure.
Fairs affect the increase in indicators. Today there are 585 sites in Stavropol in all municipalities. Compared to last year, their number increased by more than 2%. Since the beginning of the year, about 26.7 thousand fairs have been held - 6% more than in the same period last year.
The authorities are convinced that values depend on the close interaction of business, executive bodies and support institutions. It is the synergy that will allow not only to grow in indicators, but also to maximize the quality of life of the population in the region.
