Preventive measures with the participation of traffic police officers are held at pedestrian crossings of Minsk from 5 to 8 October. Together with the traffic police in the raid on the prevention of traffic violations and rules for the use of personal mobility went to the correspondent of the Agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
Deputy Head of the UGAI MOB of the Mingory Executive Committee Denis Livanovich noted that with the onset of darkness, worsening weather and reduced visibility, road users need to be especially careful and observe safety measures.

- It is necessary to hurry at all pedestrian crossings, except for regulated ones, on which a special bicycle traffic light or a corresponding bicycle sign is installed. Please note that from September 1, 2025, there is a ban on the transportation of passengers on personal mobility means. Often, the rules for using SPM are violated by minors and minors, Livanovich explained. The traffic police will continue to monitor compliance with the traffic rules of this category of participants. And a principled assessment of the actions of users of electric scooters that violate traffic rules will be given in those cases when they drive a vehicle in a state of alcoholic intoxication or become the culprits of road accidents.

One electric scooter - one person, on an unregulated pedestrian crossing - only on foot. The rules are simple, but there are always violators. Towards the evening, the streets come to life: many people rush home after a working day, and young people, on the contrary, rush to meet a group of friends. Many teenagers have their own electric scooters and sometimes decide to ride a friend. It looks fun, but it can have serious consequences on the road. Traffic police officers notice violators from afar, call them and are suitable for conversation. Teenagers often respond appropriately: engage in a dialogue, admit their mistake and promise not to break any more.

So, on one of the streets of the Frunze district, a new student drove a friend on an electric scooter. The DPS inspector stopped him, made a remark and conducted a preventive conversation. The guy knew about the rules of movement on the SPM, but decided to violate them for a friend. In the conversation, he promised not to ride anyone else.

Sometimes the rules are ignored by adults. Getting on an electric scooter with a child or allowing him to ride alongside, parents are not the best example. After all, they largely form the attitude of children to the rules and their behavior demonstrate how to behave on the road.

Employees of the traffic police urge parents and legal representatives of minors not only to observe traffic rules, but also to regularly explain them to children. It is also important to monitor the use of personal mobility tools that adults purchase for their children and how they use them.
