The Far Eastern transport Prosecutor’s office through the court seeks to appeal to the state property and financial assets of the former Deputy head of the Vladivostok customs post worth more than 70 million rubles

The Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office through the court seeks to appeal to the state property and financial assets of the former deputy head of the Vladivostok customs post worth more than 70 million rubles. During the inspection, the agency found no confirmation of the legality of the acquisition of these assets, the press service of the department reported.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the former customs officer was engaged in entrepreneurial activities related to the sale of cars, which violated the restrictions established for civil servants. Expensive assets, including a house and cars, were issued to relatives and people close to him, whose official income did not allow them to purchase such property.
The prosecutor appealed to the Artemovsk City Court of Primorsky Krai with a claim for the circulation of property worth 57 million rubles and funds worth more than 13 million rubles to the state revenue. At the time of consideration of the case, the court, at the request of the prosecutor's office, seized the property of the former employee and his relatives, indicated as nominal owners.
During the inspection, the customs officer resigned at his own request. However, the transport prosecutor’s office did not agree with the grounds for dismissal and filed a separate lawsuit demanding that it be changed to the wording “due to loss of confidence”.
