The Belarusian medical community is wary of artificial intelligence. Most doctors are not willing to give him routine work. This was stated by the Director of the RSPC of medical technologies, informatization, management and economics of health care Alexey Shcherbinsky, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

According to Shcherbinsky, young people aged 20-25 years are largely inclined to trust artificial intelligence. However, the medical community, even the young ones, remains conservative.
- The Belarusian State Medical University recently conducted a survey: how much should artificial intelligence enter the routine work of a doctor? Among young students, 65% said that routinely not. If we take the category of established doctors over the age of 40, this figure grows to 78%, the expert said in the program “Essentially” on the TV channel STV.
The speaker stressed that the concept of “risk-aversion” (risk avoidance) was formed in the medical environment. Neural networks are excellent at niche tasks, such as analyzing medical images - the accuracy reaches 95-96%. But Oxford research has shown that doctors, even with an understanding of the accuracy of AI, prefer to leave the final decision to themselves.
