The Governor of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko congratulated teachers, teachers, mentors and veterans of pedagogical work on the Teacher’s Day. In his address, he thanked them for their dedication to the profession and spoke about the achievements of the regional education system.

According to the head of the region, today more than 19 thousand specialists work in the educational system of the Penza region, including more than 8 thousand teachers.

Oleg Melnichenko noted that the region is creating conditions for quality education: modern schools are being built, infrastructure is being updated, and new opportunities for professional growth appear for teachers.

Separately, the governor dwelled on the successes of schoolchildren. At the end of the academic year, 1,316 graduates were awarded the medal “For special success in teaching”. At the exam, Penza guys wrote 72 papers per 100 points - twice as many as in the previous period.

In addition, for the first time, eight graduates of the Penza region were able to score 100 points in two subjects at once.

Oleg Melnichenko stressed that these results are the daily work of teachers, their experience and ability to inspire students. According to him, teachers combine the traditions of Russian pedagogy with modern approaches, help children to achieve success at the Olympiads and enter the best Russian universities.

“Thank you for your dedication to your calling. I wish you good health, inexhaustible energy, prosperity and as many reasons as possible to be proud of your students! Happy holiday! – concluded the head of the region.
