Since October 22, 10 districts and cities of the Krasnodar Territory have a high-alert regime - it is associated with the organization of the removal of solid municipal waste (MSW). The list includes: Novorossiysk, Sochi, Hot Key, Tuapse district, Absheron, Belorechensky, Yeisky, Kurganinsky, Starominsky and Temryuksky districts.
The regime of high readiness in the Kuban was introduced due to the fact that landfills for garbage in some areas of the region are almost filled. Now some of the facilities work as temporary waste storage points, and some need reconstruction.
Thanks to the introduced regime, the regional authorities can continue to use existing landfills in normal mode. This will preserve the usual routes of garbage collection, not to disrupt schedules and prevent deterioration of the sanitary situation.
A special regime will operate while work is underway on the reconstruction of old sites, the necessary documents are drawn up and new waste processing complexes are being built. Currently, 10 such facilities are being created in the region.
Important: the introduction of the regime does not mean interruptions in the removal of garbage to the Kuban. Waste will continue to be cleaned regularly on previous routes. And the garbage, which is now accumulating on temporary sites, will later be sent for burial - strictly according to environmental and sanitary rules, the Operational Headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
As wrote “MK in the Kuban”, a high-alert regime was introduced in the Krasnodar Territory due to problems with garbage removal. If the problem is not resolved soon, the consequences can be serious. In cities and towns, garbage will begin to accumulate, the risks of spreading infections due to the reproduction of rodents and insects will increase. In addition, there is a danger of the emergence of natural landfills - waste can begin to be dumped in forests, ravines, on the roadsides and abandoned areas, the order notes.
