Operator explained why Sochi introduced a high-alert mode due to problems with garbage disposal
In the Krasnodar region introduced a high-alert regime in ten municipalities to prevent interruptions with the removal of solid municipal waste

In the Krasnodar Territory, a high-alert regime was introduced in ten municipalities to prevent interruptions in the removal of solid municipal waste. According to the data presented, the decision is valid from October 22.
The list includes Sochi, Novorossiysk, Hot Key, Tuapse municipal district, as well as Absheron, Belorechensky, Yeisky, Kurganinsky, Starominsky and Temryuksky districts.
The need for special treatment is related to the state of waste management infrastructure. Some sites are used for temporary accumulation of garbage, and some landfills need long-term reconstruction. At the same time, ten new waste treatment facilities are being created in the region.
The regime will allow the authorities to organize the work of existing sites for the period of reconstruction of landfills, registration of permits and construction of new complexes.
The introduction of restrictive measures does not mean the cessation of garbage removal. Waste will continue to be transported along existing routes. After registration of the necessary documents, they will be sent to burial in compliance with environmental and sanitary requirements.
Earlier it was reported that residents reported cases of vandalism with electric scooters of Sochi.
