A tumor the size of two basketballs was removed from a patient

In the Primorsky Territory, doctors operated on a 56-year-old woman who found a huge neoplasm that occupied almost the entire abdominal cavity. The volume of the removed liquid was about 13 liters, according to the regional Ministry of Health.

The tumor reached the size of more than two basketballs and spread to the diaphragm. According to the agency, the woman sought medical help only after her daily life was noticeably complicated.

After surgery, the patient was discharged home. Remote neoplasm was sent for research, which should help clarify the diagnosis.
