Orlovets will pay half a million rubles for trying to bribe the traffic police inspector

In the Orel region, the Livensky district court fined a local resident 500 thousand rubles for trying to bribe a traffic police inspector. The details of the case were shared by the press service of the department.

In April of this year, the inspector stopped the car "VAZ 21070" on the road "Livny - Evlanovo - Long". The driver noticed signs of intoxication and offered to undergo an examination. To avoid liability, the man offered the employee 50 thousand rubles for him not to draw up the protocol. The inspector refused the money.

In court, the man partially admitted guilt and stated that he did not intend to transfer the money, since he did not have it. But the court still found him guilty of attempted bribery. An aggravating circumstance was the commission of a crime while intoxicated.

The sentence has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
