Autumn weekend fairs in Minsk: compared prices at the Chizhovka Arena, at the Sports Palace and in the store
Compared prices on seasonal sites and in retail: what is the difference and what to look at, not to overpay.

Potatoes at the fair are cheaper than the store by 40 cents, a liter of honey is 4 rubles, but carrots, beets and apples were profitable in the store. We drove through the two main metropolitan sites of the weekend and compared prices with “E-delivery” to find out where in the fall to buy more profitable.

For most positions, prices were more profitable at the fair "Chizhovka-arena": there are cheaper potatoes, onions, pumpkin, honey, pickles, eggs, cranberries and ground pepper. The Sports Palace was pleased only with cabbage, and the E-delivery store was more profitable for carrots, apples and beets. Therefore, if you go for "main" vegetables, honey and pickles, it is better to choose "Chizhovka-arena", and for carrots, apples and beets - look at the store.

“I go to the fair because it’s like a weekend event. Here goods are straight from the supplier, from the farmers, from the garden, from the land and greenhouses. So many choices. And, most importantly, there are interesting, unusual products that you just can not buy in the store, said the buyer at the Chizhovka Arena. According to her, since such fairs are held once a week, it is an occasion to go out, walk, see and chat with people, whereas in the store all this can be bought in the public domain every day.
What they bring to the fairs
In autumn, the range of fairs is especially rich. Here you can find vegetables and fruits, honey and bee products, pickles, meat and fish, as well as seedlings and seedlings. It is now the season of pumpkins, beets, late varieties of apples and, of course, honey of the new harvest.

How not to make the wrong choice
When buying honey, you should pay attention to its consistency and be sure to ask the type of honey: linden, buckwheat and others.
“They take mostly classic dark honey, even if it is a little more expensive than light “donnikov”, it is bought by pensioners-cores, helps the vessels,” the honey seller shared on the site near the Chizhovka Arena.
Prices for similar goods depend on the variety, size, region of origin and whether the farmer sells the goods himself or through an intermediary.
Trading, card payment, delivery

At fairs, you can bargain, especially if you buy a lot at once, sellers are usually not inferior to small purchases. For example, three bags of potatoes of the variety “Queen Anna” at some points can be bought for 0.80 kopecks, instead of 1 ruble. Prices can change closer to the close of the site, especially for flowers. So chrysanthemums for landing on the site on Sunday afternoon can be bought not for 15 - 20 rubles, but for 10.
As for payment, cards are not accepted by all sellers, so it is better to have cash with you, withdraw from an ATM in advance.
Delivery at the fairs is not provided by all suppliers, mainly if you buy potatoes from a couple of bags, but BRSM volunteers help pensioners and disabled people bring purchases to their homes, stops or cars.
“We help find the right seller at the fair, we know where everything is. I really like to communicate with people, older people share their life experience, and we will gladly help to convey their purchases ... we study at BNTU ourselves, on weekends in our free time it is great to be useful, the BRSM volunteers shared on the site near the Sports Palace.
