Autumn holidays of Volgograd schoolchildren can last up to 12 days
Volgograd schoolchildren this academic year have a chance to get an unusually long autumn vacation – 12 consecutive days
According to the recommendation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation (letter dated July 7, 2026 No OK-1948/03), the standard duration of autumn holidays should be 9 days. When training in quarters, the department proposes to establish a rest period from October 26 to November 3 inclusive. However, since October 24 and 25 fall on the weekend, and November 4 is National Unity Day, the actual period of free time from lessons can stretch to 12 days.
It is important to remember that the recommendations of the Ministry of Education are not mandatory, but indicative. Schools must consider them, but have the right to set their own vacation dates. Therefore, planning a family vacation for October-November, it is better to familiarize yourself with the schedule in a particular educational institution in advance.
