Histological examination occupies a special place among forensic medical research. Respiratory diseases, infectious processes and their complications are found in expert practice quite often, often they are significant complexity.
“Such cases require in-depth knowledge of pathological anatomy, histology, careful analysis of medical records and correct assessment of the changes identified. Often, it is the results of histological studies that are decisive for the restoration of pathological processes, prescription and the mechanism of death, explained Ivan Provada, head of the main department of forensic examinations of the central office of the GKSE, directing the audience to develop new approaches for introducing into the activities of units.
Rector of the Gomel Medical University Irina Nazarenko noted that respiratory diseases and sepsis occupy one of the leading positions among the causes of death.
“I am confident that the combination of science, higher medical school and the practice of forensic experts will allow us to develop new unique approaches that will improve the quality of forensic research in Belarus,” she said.
The seminar is held on the basis of the GKSE management in the Gomel region. Its peculiarity lies in the multidisciplinary agenda, which provides not only for the discussion of reports, but also for the detailed study of the most complex expert cases.
