From crib to car seat: what children's things Ulyanovsk families can take for free

Ulyanovsk families do not need to buy a wheelchair, crib or car seat for a child - the necessary things can be temporarily used for free. There are 27 rental points in the region, the services of which have already been used by 2,600 families.

At the points you can get the most popular things for young children: strollers, cribs, car seats, walkers and chairs for feeding. There is no charge for their use.

This opportunity is provided for young and large families, single parents, as well as families in which children with disabilities grow up.

Now 27 rental points operate on the basis of social protection departments in all municipalities of the Ulyanovsk region. Another six family MFCs can also get children's items for temporary use.

The network will continue to expand. By the end of 2026, two more family centers are planned to open in the region. Each of them will also have a rental point.

Rental of children's belongings became one of the measures to support families in the framework of the national project "Family". In addition, during women's consultations, services are created where future parents are helped to prepare for the birth of a child. In universities, mother and child rooms and short-term stay groups for children under three years old appear.
