From chanson to folk hits: the third “Soul Festival” will be held in Minsk

From October 15 to 17, Minsk will host the “Soul Festival” for the third time, one of the main cultural events of autumn, uniting generations through music and common values: family, friendship, care and love, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.

The festival will open on October 15 in the Minsk City Palace of Culture (129) with the final of the folk performing arts contest “People’s Soul”. From 13:00 to 15:40 talented vocalists and instrumentalists will demonstrate how vivid the folk tradition sounds. The winner will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at one of the festival concerts.

On Friday, October 16, in the capital's Palace of Sports (Winners, 4) at 19:00, the concert "Star chanson" will be held. On one stage, recognized masters and young representatives of the genre will meet: People's Artist of Russia Alexander Malinin, Honored Artist of Belarus Victoria Aleshko, as well as Evgeny Kemerovosky, Yaroslav Sumishevsky, Vika Tsyganova, Yuri Kuznetsov-Tayezhny, Mafik, Sergey Slavyansky, Andrei Tyamchik and others.

Saturday, October 17, will be the most intense day of the festival - two concerts are planned at once.

At 15:00 in the Palace of Sports will begin the concert “People’s Soul” with the participation of Tatiana Kurtukova, Prokhor Chaliapin, Plutto, the group “Balagan Limited”, the honored team of the Republic of Belarus folk music ensemble “Byaseda” of the National television and radio company, Alexandra Melekh, Daria Smanzer, Alexander Voronishche, Honored collective of the Republic of Belarus of dance, music and song “White Dews” and other artists.

At 21:00 in the Palace of Sports will be a concert-disco “Dance platform with Soul radio”, which will last until 00:30. The group “Brilliant” will appear on the stage, the Retro Vumen Trio “Pink Roses”, Maxim Timakov and DJ Dmitry Sankovic – the voice of “Soul Radio”. The musical time machine will transport guests to the atmosphere of the 90s and 2000s, turning the evening into a celebration of dance hits and positivity.

The Soul Festival is held for the third year in a row and every time brings together more and more people, becoming a notable cultural event in Belarus. In 2025, the concerts of the festival were attended by more than 11 thousand spectators, and television broadcasts gathered an audience of more than 200 thousand people. In the new season, the organizers prepare even more meetings with their favorite artists, live communication and songs that unite hearts.

- Mood. Sincerity. Holiday. This is the main thing in the festival, said the chief director of concert programs of the Soul Festival Christina Dainiak. Come here and you will feel these words coming to life.

Artists change, new audiences come, musical trends do not stand still, but one thing remains unchanged: year after year, the Soul Festival retains its unique concept. On the stage there are chanson, pop-folk and disco – genres that rarely overlap, but it is their sound that unites different generations, tastes and moods.

The television version of the concerts “Star chanson” and “the Soul of the people” can be seen on the air of the TV channel ONT.
