From school desk to mini-greenhouse: in the Ulyanovsk region expand the network of agricultural classes

Schoolchildren of the Ulyanovsk region will be able to study agriculture not only from textbooks, but also in practice. In 2027, seven more specialized agricultural classes are planned to be created in the region. This was reported by Governor Alexei Russian.

In such classes, children get acquainted with modern agricultural technologies, conduct experiments and work with visual aids. For example, students can independently grow plants in mini-greenhouses. This helps them to better understand the features of agricultural professions and determine their future specialty.

The program has been developing in the region since 2025. Then opened the first six agricultural classes, and in 2026 they added another 12. Thus, 18 such training sites have been created in the Ulyanovsk region.

According to the governor, early career guidance is necessary to train future specialists in the agricultural industry. Equipment of agricultural classes is carried out with the support of the national project "Technological provision of food security".

If the plans for next year are implemented, 25 agricultural classes will operate in the region by the end of 2027.
