The round table of the Coordination Council of the CIS member states in the field of forensic activities, timed to the 35th anniversary of the Commonwealth, was held in Minsk, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
In 2026, the Commonwealth of Independent States celebrates its 35th anniversary, a date that emphasizes the strength of long-term partnership and common strategic goals. This milestone is an important milestone in the history of the participating countries, a symbol of successful cooperation, mutual respect and a joint desire to strengthen stability and prosperity.
This is an occasion not only to sum up interim results, but also to highlight those formats of interaction that have proved their relevance and effectiveness. One of such significant tools is the Coordination Council of the CIS member states in the field of forensic expertise.

The round table “From traditions to innovations: modernization of expert practice, new approaches, unification of methods” was held in Minsk. Representatives of the authorized bodies of the States Parties to the Agreement on the formation of the Council took part: the Expert Center of the Republic of Armenia, the State Committee for Forensic Expertise of the Republic of Belarus, the Forensic Expert Service under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Republican Center for Forensic Expertise named after H. Sulaimanova under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
- Taking into account the role of forensic activities as one of the most important tools for ensuring law and order, combating crime and preventing offenses, the CIS member states are consistently developing cooperation in this area, said Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Forensic Examinations of Belarus Colonel of Justice Andrei Roschupkin. Combining the expert potential of states, exchanging practical experience and scientific developments make it possible to respond more effectively to modern challenges and form common approaches to the development of forensic activities.

The presented reports covered a wide range of topical tasks – from innovative approaches to the organization of forensic computer-technical and linguistic examinations to modern challenges in the field of forensic ballistics and the use of human DNA data. Issues of digital transformation of forensic activities, as well as unification of methodological approaches have not been ignored.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of partnership, openness and productive interaction.

- The discussion showed how dynamically developing forensic expert activity and how important a condition for its effectiveness is the constant improvement of applied approaches, methods and technologies, said Roschupkin.
