Criminal Investigation Day is celebrated in Belarus on October 5. Hijacked a taxi with the driver

The usual request for a ride turned into an adventure for the Minsk taxi driver. A man was finishing recharging a service electric car when a stranger approached him. The driver refused - he had already accepted another order. However, the woman, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, began to beat the man with her hands and feet, and then got behind the wheel and drove. The taxi driver tried to stop the car, grabbing the door, but the brawler continued to move and dragged it along with the car. Moving in reverse, she committed an accident and damaged two cars parked in the yard.

Employees of the Pervomaysky police Department established that the driver was a 45-year-old Minsk woman. Previously, she was deprived of the right to drive for five years for driving while intoxicated. Now she has to answer for stealing someone else’s car.

After the celebration of the birthday, the Minsk woman left three bouquets in the wardrobe of one of the capital's institutions. When it came time to leave, one of them was gone. Employees of the Moscow police Department found that the flowers were taken by a 38-year-old resident of the Vitebsk region, resting in the institution with friends. Leaving the bar, the man noticed the flowers, chose the most beautiful bouquet and took it, and later gave it to a friend. A criminal case has been opened against the man for theft.

While visiting neighbors, a 33-year-old Minsk resident noticed a buckled bike worth 600 BYN in the common vestibule. The man decided to take him. Under the pretext of household necessities, he asked his friends for pliers, returned to the bicycle, snacked on the castle and stole property. The plan was simple: sell the bike. However, according to the man, he was disturbed by the awakened conscience. Instead of selling, he took a little ride around town and then left his bike outside one of the shops. Criminal investigation officers identified the person involved, and the stolen property was returned to the owner.

A stranger was sheltered, losing 7,500. BYN

A resident of the Oktyabrsky district, together with her family, temporarily sheltered a man who came to the capital in search of work. The new friend promised to help with the repair and did not cause much concern. When the family left on business, the guest found in the closet a box with currency, gold and silver jewelry worth more than 7.5 thousand BYN. To pick up the find and immediately leave, he could not: the hostess returned and asked for help to take her mother from the hospital. The man agreed, but as soon as the hostess went to the medical institution, he quietly disappeared. The operatives established that a 54-year-old resident of Grodno was involved in the theft. The money he managed to spend on alcohol, taxis, clothes and rent a room in the hostel.

Unusual was the story of a 19-year-old resident of the Uzden district, who became a courier of telephone fraudsters. First, the girl was deceived on the phone on behalf of a mobile operator, and then intimidated with criminal liability. To get a good characterization, she agreed to follow the instructions of the curators. The girl took money and jewelry from the deceived Minsk residents three times, but almost every task went wrong. For the first time, not all jewelry was accepted in the pawnshop, so it was not possible to transfer the entire amount. For the second time, the bank blocked the transaction for 9 thousand BYN, considering it suspicious. During the third task, the girl with the money received was detained by criminal investigation officers. In total, more than 15,000 BYN were seized from her, which will be returned to the victims.
