In the Church of St. John the Baptist restored the cross and icon from the tomb of St. Blessed Athanasius, confessor of Orlovsky. This is reported in the information and analytical department of the regional metropolis.

On the icon, the salary was updated, a new kiot was made for it. The cross from the tomb of the saint is treated with a preservative composition and patinated with special paint. The works were performed by the artist Arkady Polevoy.

Since the soil at the burial site continues to settle after the acquisition of the alleged remains of the saint, capital works on the improvement of the grave are planned for the summer of next year.

So far, the parish has carried out temporary improvement of the burial. The tomb of Blessed Athanasius Andreevich was put in order and preserved in a decent form for those who daily come there to pray.
