Peoples’ Friendship Park in Ulyanovsk is waiting for changes: dozens of new trees have been planted here

In the Ulyanovsk Park of Friendship of Peoples, dozens of new green spaces appeared. Specialists of city services planted 60 trees of five different breeds, including linden, maple, ash and red-leaved oaks. The works became part of a large-scale autumn greening of the city: in just a season in Ulyanovsk it is planned to plant almost 900 trees.

To update the green areas of the park, experts selected plants that will differ not only in size, but also in appearance at different times of the year. On the territory planted 10 lindens, 8 ash, 18 maples, 9 red-leaved oaks and 15 hawthorn seedlings.

The largest number of new landings were on maples. These trees, together with ash and oaks, should make the autumn appearance of the park more diverse due to the different shades of foliage. Lips and hawthorn will complement the composition, creating a combination of plants with different shapes and density of crowns.

When choosing breeds, gardeners sought to avoid monotony. It is assumed that as the trees grow, the territory will become more expressive, and seasonal changes in the color of the foliage will give the usual walking routes a new look.

Landings in the Park of Friendship of Peoples became part of a broader program of urban landscaping. Since the beginning of this week, landscapers have already planted 130 trees in Ulyanovsk, including new plantations in the park.

The work will not end there. According to the plan, agreed with the head of the city Alexander Boldakin, during the season in Ulyanovsk intend to plant almost 900 trees.
