Metal printing and simulators for power engineers: Rosatom told about joint projects with Belarus

Belarusian specialists are in demand in Rosatom’s nuclear projects, including the construction of facilities in the Far East and Siberia. About this and about joint developments told the Director of the country office of the state Corporation “Rosatom” in Belarus Stanislav Levitsky, the correspondent of the Agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

S. Levitsky cited several examples of successful cooperation between Belarus and Rosatom. One of them is the center of additive technologies in Minsk. It deals with metal 3D printing and also works across the spectrum, from 3D scanning to the development, manufacture and supply of powders.

- It is important to note that we produce 3D printers for metal printing in Belarus. These are truly innovative technologies - no more than a dozen countries own a full technological cycle from the development to the release of equipment for commercial operation, the expert said in an interview with the First Information Channel.

According to him, the level of Belarusian components for the printer exceeds 50%, and the total volume of components from Russia and Belarus is 85%. The equipment was developed from scratch on the territory of the Union State.

Another direction is the creation of simulators for the personnel of the energy industry in conjunction with the enterprise Belenergoremnadka. The first complexes have already been implemented and received positive feedback from the Ministry of Energy.

Rosatom is also introducing Russian energy storage devices in Belarus. The universal traction battery is already included in the documentation of MAZ apron electric buses and BelAZ airfield tractors. This will eliminate air pollution from diesel engine exhaust on the aprons.

S. Levitsky also confirmed the high demand for Belarusian specialists in the nuclear projects of the corporation, including the construction of facilities in the Far East and Siberia.

- I can definitely confirm the highest level of qualification of Belarusian contractors and specialists. Many Belarusians are already working on our projects. We are happy to welcome them, as no one will refuse competent and competent professionals. That’s 99.9 percent of the staff, he added.
