Representatives of the Sochi education system received recognition at the federal level. Irina Amosova, Deputy Director of School No. 18, was among the leaders of the nomination “People’s Recognition is the Best Teacher of General Education” of the project “Knowledge. Mentors”, and kindergarten teacher No. 6 Natalia Milova became a finalist of the competition “Educator of the Year of Russia – 2026”.
The project “Knowledge. Mentors” is implemented with the participation of the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Russian Society “Knowledge”. Irina Amosova was noted in the nomination dedicated to mentoring in the general education system.
Natalia Milova represented Sochi at the All-Russian professional competition “Teacher of the Year of Russia – 2026”. Teachers from 86 regions of the country fought for the honorary status.
The head of Sochi, Andrey Prozubin, stressed that the professional achievements of teachers reflect their dedication and desire to develop education. According to him, the city continues to create conditions for the education of children and the work of specialists: it builds new schools, kindergartens and institutions of additional education.
In Sochi, there are also measures to support teachers, including compensation payments and bonuses for professional achievements. This year, the municipal award “Pedagogical Triumph” with the payment of up to 100 thousand rubles received 30 representatives of the industry.
The successes of Irina Amosova and Natalia Milova were another confirmation of the professional potential of Sochi teachers at the federal level.
