"Pension - only yourself": since October, banks have been working with older customers in a new way
Transfers prohibited

Since October 1, the lives of pensioners have changed a little, at least in relations with banks. The new rules deal with pension transfers and control of transactions. We'll figure it out.
Pension no longer transferred to someone else
Previously, you could send retirement money to anyone. Not now. The Central Bank and the Social Fund have banned the transfer of pensions to the accounts of other persons. The bank checks the recipient on the basis of the fund, and if the name does not match, the transfer is blocked. This is a defense against fraudsters who have been deceiving older people for years by promising a “recalculation of pensions.”.
Artificial intelligence monitors translations
For customers over 55-60 years old, banks have connected a special algorithm. If the system decides that the transfer is suspicious, the money will be frozen for 48 hours. To unlock, you will have to contact the bank via video link or come to the office and confirm that you have decided to transfer money yourself.
On the one hand, protection. Fraudsters are indeed attacking pensioners across the country, from Tula to Vladikavkaz, and the sums are in the millions. On the other hand, if you need money urgently, for medicine or a utility, two days of waiting can be a problem. A video call for grandmother, who is used to live communication in the department, stress.
Three to six months' contributions
Banks offer short deposits for 3 or 6 months. This is a way to save money with inflation of 6-7%. You can withdraw interest without losing benefits. But honestly, yields are unlikely to outpace price increases. Better not to lose than to earn.
Kuzbass residents should be more careful: if you receive a pension on the card, check who you transfer money to. And if you are faced with a freeze, do not panic, call the bank. Share your experience in the comments – it will help others.
