Penza residents want to steam: in the region, the demand for rest in country houses with baths has sharply increased

Summer ended more than a month ago, vacations were left behind, and the weather every day less disposes to long walks in the fresh air. But the desire to take a break from working life has not gone anywhere. At this time, it is especially tempting to get out of the city, steam in the bath and spend time in the company of loved ones. And, judging by statistics, such a holiday is becoming more popular in the Penza region.

According to TASS with reference to the study of the service "Avito Travel", in the fall of 2026, the demand for renting country houses with baths and saunas in Russia increased by 4% compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, the Penza region was among the regions with the most noticeable growth of interest in this format of recreation. Over the year, the demand for renting suburban housing with couples here increased by 76%. According to this indicator, the region ranked second among the territories with the highest growth, second only to the Trans-Baikal Territory, where demand grew by 88%.

The top five also included Primorsky Krai (+68%), Mari El Republic (+37%) and Kirov Region (+33%).

At the same time, other regions lead in the total number of bookings of country houses with baths. The most popular are the Moscow and Leningrad regions, Krasnodar Territory, Sverdlovsk region and Tatarstan. The top ten also included Bashkortostan, Karelia, Samara, Chelyabinsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

According to analysts, Russians usually rent such housing for two nights for a company of six people. The average cost of accommodation is about 14.1 thousand rubles per day. At the same time, suitable vacation options begin to look for about 22 days before the expected date of settlement.

Most often, travelers choose country houses and cottages - they account for 70% and 22% of bookings, respectively. However, over the past year, interest has increased in other accommodation options, including guest houses with baths, glamping and recreation centers.

The most budget option was renting a cottage with a bath or sauna – an average of 8.1 thousand rubles per night. Accommodation at the recreation center costs about 8.8 thousand rubles, and in glamping - 9.3 thousand rubles. The most expensive is renting a cottage - about 20.7 thousand rubles per day.

For the Penza region, such a noticeable increase in interest in country houses with baths may indicate an increase in demand for short trips and rest outside the city. Penza residents increasingly prefer not to go on long trips, but to spend the weekend closer to home, where you can change the atmosphere, relax from everyday worries and spend time with loved ones.
