On the eighth of October, the Penza State Agrarian University hosted a competition of school forestry teams “Forest All-Around”. The organizers were the Department of crop production and forestry of the university, the Ministry of forestry, hunting and nature management of the Penza region, the center for forest protection of the Penza region and the Penza branch of Roslesinforg.
The participants were addressed by the acting Minister of Forestry, Hunting and Nature Management of the region Rishat Altynbayev. He greeted the children and wished them all the knowledge and skills. According to him, the competition should become not only a test of strength, but also a step towards a future profession in the forest industry. Altynbayev urged participants to believe in themselves and protect nature and forests.
The competition gave students the opportunity to show practical skills and deepen environmental knowledge. It also helps to popularize forestry among young people and instills a respectful attitude to nature. Participation in all-around allows children to prove themselves, contribute to the preservation and restoration of forests, and at the same time determine their future profession.
According to the results of the competitions, the first place was taken by the team of the school of the village Krasnoye Polzo of the Moksha district. The second place is taken by the team of the multidisciplinary lyceum of the village of Malaya Serdoba, Maloserdobinsky district. The third place went to the team of the school of the village of Kevda-Melsitovo, Kamensky district.
The jury noted bright performances in thematic nominations. Special awards were given to teams for their will to win, successful debut and creativity. Team leaders were given thanks for training participants. “Forest all-around” once again showed that the forestry of the Penza region has a decent change. Environmental education of young people is an important task of the national project “Environmental well-being”.
