Penza students wrote a large ethnographic dictation

From 3 to 12 November in the country and abroad is a large-scale educational campaign – “Great Ethnographic Dictation”. The initiator is the Federal Agency for Nationalities. The main goal of the project is to acquaint residents with the culture of the peoples of Russia and to awaken interest in the traditions of our multinational state.

In Penza, one of the sites for testing knowledge was the regional library for children and youth. Students of the College of Transportation Technology came here. Before the test, the young people visited a book exhibition called “We are all different, we are all equal.” The children also participated in a lively discussion about the peoples inhabiting the Penza region.

After that, the participants began to answer the questions of the dictation. They tested their ethnographic literacy, remembering facts from the history and culture of the peoples of Russia. Library staff also joined the students.
