Penza perinatal center received ultrasound devices for 18 million
Perinatal Center of the Penza Regional Clinical Hospital

The perinatal center of the Penza Regional Clinical Hospital named after N. N. Burdenko continues to receive new equipment. This became possible thanks to the federal project “Protection of Motherhood and Childhood” of the national project “Family”.
Today, the institution has already received a lot of equipment: anesthesiological system, artificial ventilation apparatus, defibrillator, ultrasound imaging system, electrocardiograph, neonatal phototherapy apparatus, incubator and others. Of the latter – five stationary ultrasound machines “Consona No. 7” with a total cost of about 18 million rubles.
The technique was distributed between neonatal departments: in the intensive care unit of the pathology department of newborns and premature babies, in the neonatal department of the obstetric physiological department. In addition, the ultrasound was equipped with anesthesiology-resuscitation department for women with an awakening room for the birth ward.
As noted by Natalia Sapozhnikova, Deputy Chief Physician for Pediatric Care, ultrasound equipment will allow for diagnostic examination of newborns – there are pediatric sensors for young patients. And yet, having machines in each department, no longer have to transport the child from floor to floor for examination.
Another acquisition is two open resuscitation systems with built-in artificial ventilation. They were installed in the generic department with operating rooms and in the operating unit. The cost is 1.6 million rubles. According to Sapozhnikova, these devices are designed for newborns who need resuscitation care and respiratory therapy immediately after birth.
