In St. Petersburg, a man was detained in an apartment on Bolsheokhtinsky Prospekt for three days and 12.3 million rubles were stolen from him. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
In the early morning of October 10, a 33-year-old St. Petersburg citizen contacted the police of the Krasnogvardeysky district. The applicant said that on 5 October he was attacked by unknown persons and brought to a rented apartment on Bolsheokhtinsky Prospekt. He was held there for three days.
During this time, unknown persons threatened to kill the St. Petersburger, took 1.5 million rubles and his phone, and then forced to sign sales contracts for two cars – Audi Q2 and BMW. The victim estimated the damage for three days at 12.3 million rubles. After that, the criminals, having received the desired documents and money, left for Hongqi H5, leaving the resident of St. Petersburg alone.
Police quickly identified the owner of the car, focusing on its name. He was a 28-year-old man from the Rostov region. In the evening, after contacting the police, at the house No5 on Moskovsky Street in Kolpino, the car was stopped by traffic police officers, and its owner was detained and taken to the station. At the same time, in the village named after Telman Vsevolozhsky district, operatives detained a 29-year-old accomplice.
The suspects explained that the “captive” was an attempt to return money to the company where the abducted person worked. They thought he had misappropriated those funds illegally. On the fact of the incident, an inspection is carried out, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
