A resident of St. Petersburg illegally received more than 850 thousand rubles, continuing to issue a pension with the northern district coefficient after moving from Severomorsk. This was reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the Murmansk region.
The man received a retirement pension with a district coefficient of 1.4 since August 2009. At the same time, he knew that due to the lack of seniority in the High North, the right to such a allowance was preserved only if he actually lived in the northern regions.
In December 2014, the man moved to St. Petersburg for permanent residence, but did not report this to the authorized body. Instead, he continued to receive payments, indicating false information about living in Severomorsk.
As a result, the state suffered damage in the amount of more than 850 thousand rubles. During the trial, the man pleaded guilty and fully compensated for the damage.
The man was found guilty of fraud when receiving social payments on a large scale. The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, fined him 100,000 rubles.
Earlier, “MK in Murmansk” reported that a resident of Kirovsk returned 27 thousand rubles for unfulfilled social contract.
