Petrograd district arranged a large autumn cleaning before the cold

Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg joined the city improvement month. In October, utilities, employees of institutions and residents will clean up yards, streets and public spaces, as well as prepare the territory for winter. This was reported by the head of the district administration Dmitry Vanchkov.

In the Petrograd district will remove more than 1 million square meters of territory. Courtyards, streets, children's and sports grounds will be put in order, roads and urns will be washed, hatches and rain receivers will be cleaned, road fences and drain pipes will be put in order. The leaves will be removed on an area of 69 hectares.

In the squares and streets will plant 29 trees and 16 shrubs. The central sites of the month were Prince-Vladimir Square, the territory near the Jubilee IC and the embankment of the Karpovka River.

Employees of the administration, housing and communal sector, educational and medical institutions, as well as residents of the district joined the work. For the first time, ministers and parishioners of the Holy Cross Church on Krestovsky Island and the Cathedral Mosque of St. Petersburg will take part in the month.

I invite all Petrograd residents to join the month: to restore order at their entrance, in the yard, in the square next to the house. Come families – together we will make the area clean, cozy, beautiful, which should be the historical center of St. Petersburg, said Dmitry Vanchkov.
