At the initiative of Governor Vitaly Korolev, the Timurivtsi project was launched in the Tver region, aimed at helping the older generation.

- In early September, at a meeting with our respected older generation, I proposed to revive a good tradition in the region – the Timur movement. And today we see how our schoolchildren, together with teachers, mentors, have actively joined the work. The story of "Timur and his team" has become relevant again and inspires our teenagers to do good deeds and take care of those who need it, "the head of the region wrote in his MAH-channel.

The project system is as follows: social workers form applications for the necessary assistance, and the curators of the Movement of the First gather teams of schoolchildren and students for their implementation.

Thus, in the Kashin district, volunteers have already received eight applications - from creative congratulations of the older generation to landscaping. Schoolchildren from Sandovo, Ostashkov and Western Dvina help pensioners with stacking firewood, and in Vyshny Volochok, teenagers helped an elderly woman wash the windows and clean the courtyard of the house.

- Our project is not only about providing assistance and volunteering. The children get acquainted with the work of social services, in practice they learn responsibility to the older generation. I think it's a very good experience. I am convinced that love for the Motherland and respect for deserved people is manifested not in words, but in concrete actions, "said Vitaly Korolev.

The governor instructed the Ministry of Youth and the Ministry of Social Protection to expand the geography of the project and create permanent Timur teams in all districts.
