The winner of the Republican contest “Family of the Year” was determined in Minsk
Seven families from all regions of the country met in the final of the republican competition. The victory was won by the Sviridyuk family from the Brest region, raising three children.

On October 10, the final of the seventh Republican contest “Family of the Year” was held in the capital’s Sports Palace.
Almost 600 families took part in the qualifying stages. At first, the struggle was at the regional level. And in the final, seven families competed for the victory – the winners of the Minsk city and regional competitions.
Among the finalists are the Sviridyuk family (Brest region, three children); the Mezhuev family (Vitebsk region, four children); the Perzhenitsa family (Gomel region, six children); the Lyakh family (Grodno region, four children); the Sobalevsky family (Minsk region, four children); the Baranov family (Mogilev region, three children); the Belsky family (Minsk, four children).
These are the ones that Belarus is proud of without exaggeration. But a contest is a contest, and there must be a winner. And they became a large and friendly family Sviridyuk from the Brest region. Dmitry and Olga from the agro-town of Strigovo, Kobrin district, raise three children and preserve family traditions that have been passed on for more than one generation.
