Almost a thousand pregnant northern women received 126 million rubles in allowance in 2026

Since the beginning of 2026, more than 930 pregnant women in the Murmansk region have received a single benefit. This was reported by the press service of the SFR Division for the region.

More than 126 million rubles were allocated for these payments. To apply for benefits, a woman needs to register with a medical organization in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. The expectant mother should regularly visit the doctor for 10–14, 18–22 and 30-32 weeks, so that the payment is not suspended.

The benefit is received by families with per capita income not higher than the regional subsistence minimum. In the Murmansk region, it is 26.41 thousand rubles. Each able-bodied family member has an official income for the months of the allowance should be at least eight minimum wages – that is, 216.74 thousand rubles.

The amount of payment depends on the needs of the family. Expectant mothers can receive 50 percent of the subsistence minimum of the able-bodied population - 14.39 thousand rubles, 75 percent - 21.59 thousand rubles or 100 percent - 28.78 thousand rubles.
