At the Brest checkpoint, participants of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member states, which was held today in Brest, laid a capsule for descendants, which reflects the main points of work of modern customs authorities. Alley of young trees was planted at the customs post “Kozlovici”.

This year, the Commonwealth of Independent States will celebrate 35 years. Recently, our country celebrated the 35th anniversary of the formation of customs authorities. The symbolism of the actions was emphasized by the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Orlovsky:

- Today is the 83rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS member states, and tomorrow is the 55th anniversary meeting since the start of the work of the Joint Collegium of Customs Services of the EAEU member states. In Brest, such events are rare. We decided to leave their memory behind. So that in the future, when our followers open this capsule, they can see what changes have occurred in the work of customs authorities over the years. Each leader will also plant a tree. I hope that this will become a kind of center of attraction for the participants of today’s meeting. They will want to come back and see what heights the tree has reached. These are symbolic moments that unite the heads of customs services.
