Near Volgograd, work continues on the construction of a new water pipeline
The modernization of the water supply system became possible thanks to the implementation of the federal project “Modernization of municipal infrastructure”, which is part of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.

According to the Committee of Housing and Communal Services of the Volgograd region, the construction of new water supply networks is actively underway in the village of Kuibyshev of the Srednekhtuba district. At the moment, the facility’s readiness exceeds 50%, and the completion of all planned work is scheduled for the end of 2027.
The project provides for the laying of 26.5 kilometers of water supply lines in the village. It is expected that this will significantly reduce the level of wear and tear of the existing system, reduce the number of accidents and ensure compliance with sanitary standards. Currently, pipe laying by the method of horizontally inclined drilling is carried out on the streets of Friendship, Soviet, Workers, Baikal, Jubilee, Zarechnaya and Green. In parallel, 60 wells are being installed.
Recall that in 2026, work on the renewal and construction of water supply and sanitation networks continues not only in Kuibyshev, but also in other areas of the Volgograd region, including Volgograd, Gorodischensky, Kikvidzensky and Pallasovsky. In accordance with the instructions of the Governor Andrey Bocharov, over the next decade, more than 70 municipal facilities are planned to be built and reconstructed in the region, as well as 11 large-scale projects to modernize water supply and sanitation systems.
