The figures increased by 18%: Smolensk enterprise optimized the assembly with the help of the national project
At the Smolensk enterprise, MetaLux LLC successfully completed a pilot project to optimize the assembly and packaging of metal products

At the Smolensk enterprise MetaLux LLC, a pilot project to optimize the assembly and packaging of metal products has been successfully completed. Within the framework of the national project “Effective and Competitive Economy”, with the support of the Regional Competence Center, the company not only achieved, but exceeded the targets: process time decreased by 27%, and production increased by 18% (in terms of pieces per person per hour).
These results were made possible by systematic work:
The root causes of staff stops and long downtimes have been eliminated. Workplaces and storage facilities were organized. Standardization of technical operations for the production of finished products was performed.
An important result was the formation of a pool of instructors for lean production within the company - now the company will be able to independently scale the solutions to other sites. Already, new projects to improve efficiency have been launched at Metalux LLC.
Integrated use of lean production tools allowed to reduce the level of downtime of both personnel and equipment, reduce the labor intensity of manual operations and reduce the distance of movement. This freed up extra time for production.
MetaLux LLC implements a full cycle of manufacturing plastic products: from processing raw materials to assembly and packaging of finished products.
Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin noted that the national project greatly simplifies the work of enterprises and helps them improve their production processes.
The project was implemented within the framework of the federal project “Labor productivity”. To participate, other companies must submit an application on the performance platform. RF.
