Scammers to get a “diagnosis” ask a person to provide a phone number. Then a frightening picture appears on the screen: allegedly stolen confidential data, information about the power of attorney and an indicator of a “critical threat”.
The task of such a fraudulent “show” is simple: to scare and force the victim to dial a number posted on the site. The pipe is taken by a false specialist, who appears to be an employee of the information protection department of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Then “employees” of banks, state organizations and law enforcement agencies can join the conversation.
Don't give in to intimidation! Do not call on phones from suspicious sites and do not call the interlocutors codes from SMS, passwords and other confidential information. The only technical support number for the portal “State Services” in the Russian Federation is 8 800 100-70-10.
