ChatGPT users complained about the massive blocking of accounts due to VPN

Users around the world complained that their ChatGPT accounts were blocked without prior warning. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

The problem, in particular, arose for those owners who have a Pro subscription costing $200 a month. According to them, the history of correspondence was deleted. In addition, they cannot log into their account.

It is assumed that the restrictions are associated with VPN and frequent change of IP. Official confirmation of mass blocking from the company yet.

OpenAI did not specify why the restrictions were imposed, citing possible non-compliance. Users report that their attempts to contact support and challenge the blocking did not lead to a positive result.

Earlier, the Russians complained about the massive blocking of accounts in the popular neural network Claude. The service introduced a KYC check, requiring the download of documents. Russian passports and geolocation discrepancies lead to immediate deactivation of accounts, even if you have a paid subscription and use a VPN.
